Lots of people have come and gone and come again over the years and days of Resin and the newly named 'Julie Vik'. Some core people, either live or recording have been: Julie Vik - vocals, guitars, some other subtle stuff, Alex Varty - guitar and noises, Colin Nairne - guitar and producer engineer guy, Moritz Behm - violin and mandolin, Corbin Keep - cello, lots of bass players, including Ian Cameron, Travis Baker, Dave Reimer and Doug Elliot, some drummers - Damian Graham, Joel Lower, Jack Guppy. Been lucky to have played with guests like Jesse Zubot, Francois Houle, Bill Runge, Simon Kendall, and others.

"the wetness, the dryness...beautiful." Jane Siberry--1999
"The music world is chock full o' bands who "defy classification," "span genres;" there are even those who "push recognized boundaries," and, God help us, "serve up a musical gumbo."...The point is, for every band that dares to choose the road less traveled, there's a pack of music critics following close behind, each trying to outdo the other with breathless hyperbole. The problem is that, more often than not, a band is just a band.
Then there's Resin, a group for whom the praise might actually be deserved. ...Imagine Grace Slick at her psychedelic peak, fronting Sly and the Family Stone, only everbody in the band is wearing Birkenstocks and you're on 'ludes. That's Resin...Resin is good, and refreshingly so - in the sense that good musicians sometimes do end up in good bands making good music, despite trends to the contrary. That - not veiled allusions to evolving musical styles - makes them worth seeing." Aaron Bragg The Local Planet Weekly, Spokane, WA April/02
You know the people that say utopia isn't possible have already given up. Living sustainably in balance with our environment and food sources will bring us the freedom to live in harmony, and provide the opportunity for all to excel in their efforts, dreams and life path. Utopia is not only possible but it is the very essence that should guide our dreams and vision for ourselves and with each other. It is the horizon we should all strive for everyone and every nation. Anything short of that will lead us astray.
