He belong to that wave of Cuban singer songwriter known as “Topo..s generation” because of it’s underground status. His music is a mixture of original identity & vanguard, an assembly of his roots with all those musical trends compatible with it. Julio Fowler is a musical alchemist whose own special blend of magic comes from his knack for combining the popular and traditional elements of “Cuban Music” with sounds and rhythms from other cultures such as flamenco, jazz, funk or Bossa nova. From this melting pot of influences he has brought into existence a highly refreshing and original set of melodies, rhythms and timbres. Your sound could be considered "musical fusion" of the highest order as his lack of musical inhibitions allows him to move effortlessly from guaguancó to boleros as he flirts openly with bulería while at the same time showing his overt passion for jazz in a surprising mix of acoustic and electronic.
