Jumbo Jr. is the ongoing musical manifestation of Lauren Henschen. Though she has been tampering with keyboards since the early 80's, Lauren began her formal musical career in 2005 when she was seen performing stand-up comedy at Modified Arts in Phoenix. That stand-up routine included a comical song she had written on the guitar...somehow she was mistaken for a musician and spontaneously booked to perform the following week. That meant Lauren needed to come up with some other songs. She did. And 3 years later, she's still writing them and people keep inviting her back. Never having pursued her own booking, Lauren is proud to have played over 50 shows at this point, all at the behest of others. She loves to make people clap, sing along and, most importantly, laugh. She still tell jokes between songs.
