Created by Kari Groff-Denis, MD and produced by Kristin Andreassen. Dr. Groff-Denis is a physician and fiddler living in Brooklyn, NY. She has private practice in Park Slope, Brooklyn and is clinical assistant professor in child psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center and Bellevue Hospital. She is amazed by the remarkable insight and strength of her patients. Her experience with children inspired her to create an album dedicated to understanding feelings and emotions as well to celebrate the amazing courage that kids show despite many challenging times. .. .. Jumping Through Hoops is produced by Kristin Andreassen. Kristin has a long and established history in the music world. She received the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Song Writing Contest in the children's category for her hit song "Crayola". She is a Rounder Record artist with her well-known ensemble, "Uncle Earl" and a Signature Sounds artist with her band "Sometymes Why". Kristin is dedicated to advocating for the emotional needs of children and their families around the world. Kristin also assisted in writing and performing the music of Jumping Through Hoops. Original art work by popular, kid-friendly Brooklyn artist, Jane Archer. .. .. Musical Arrangements by David Moore and Chris Eldridge. David is a widely recognized talented composer of post-modern classical music. Chris is the guitarist for the world renowned "Punch Brothers" and a founding member of the "Infamous Stringdusters". He assisted in composing many of the songs on this album. .. .. Lyrical consultations from Barbara Groff, experienced children's song writer and music teacher. The album features many fine musicians from NYC and beyond. The band is available for live performances! .. ..****** .. ..
