Benny Cortez himself brings his signature all out, in your face frontman performance to the stage, while smoking hot guitar work from Tony “Fingers” Naranjo and a rhythm section most bands dream about (Eric Tice-Drums, Sam Dozier-Bass, Hank Danini-Keyboards) , explains the amazing popularity of this group. Combining elements of Traditional Blues, Soul, Funk and R&B, their audiences cant help but get up and dance and are left mesmerized by they’re performances. Jumpin Jack Benny has performed at venues such as House of Blues, B.B. Kings, Harvell’s, as well as festivals and other events. The Jumpin Jack Benny Blues Band have collectively recorded and shared the stage with The Delgado Brothers, B.B. Chung King, Little Milton, WAR, El Chicano, Bo Diddley, James Cotton and a host of others in the music industry. Jumpin Jack Benny came in 2cnd place out of 20 bands held Nov. 2008 for The International Blues Chalenge contest sponsored by The Southern California Blues Society. Jumpin Jack Benny is on "Best of The Southland Blues" CD put out by Southland Blues Magazine, and has an upcomming full length C.D. out soon.
