a trio salvaged from the dried up remnants of the original Muffin Men,
Roddie is now playing bass guitar. A devotee of the long throw in, he is the master of the perfect butty
He's done very little with his sixty years in the business, but what he has managed to do can be seen here...
Rhino (Rhino) plays drums and sings.
A bit larger than the version shown here these days, but the sentiment
on the kit is very relevant today.
He's played with just about
every style of band from Jazz to Punk and all points between.
Jumpy (Jumpy) plays guitar
and sings. Originally cast as "Stunt Guitarist" for The Muffin Men,
he was called upon to play with the legendary Connie Lush and Blues Shouter, Jumpy had never sung lead vocals before Showbiz Kidz, but has certainly learnt fast.
Sounds Like
Showbizkidz play the entire spectrum of classic
pub rock anthems from Jimi to Lizzy, via the subtleties
of Steely Dan (from whom the band took
their name) through Clapton and Cream, to the outrageous Alice Cooper!
Hello Jumpy thanks for the add, I seen the muffin men in the 051,and a band called the wizards of twigley (i think) was on the same night. the muffin men were of course boss! all the best to you and yours Peter
Hi Jumpy! Thanks for the add. How are you now? Yes -I am guilty as charged of the heinous act against musical accomplishment--I was in the Blimey Brothers. I saw you with original Muffin Men in the Lomax and was inspired to get into Zappa-Currently loving the Guitar disc one and two and playing 'Thing Fish' in work to piss people off--(oh-the briefcase) It is a long time since we played the Bakers in Stockport! You got that vo-coder flying again? Take care and hope to see you soon with Showbiz Kids. I am giggin lots with Kappa. Smithy :)
