We are hoping to have the album done and available by Strictly for the Wicked. If this cannot happen, the album will be done. It will just be a matter of getting the pressing done and the package delivered. We will be attempting to set up some kind of Pre-Order system. Either way, within the month, the album will be OUT!
www.JunctionOMEGA.com is now up and running, however it is still being built. Right now, if you have not yet, you can go to JunctionOMEGA.com and read the 2009 State of OMEGA Adress. All of the members of OMEGA are big supporters of the Wicked Underground scene, helping to promote and spread the word, always on the boards - escensially, this Address was written to explain why we would soon be going into suclusion - to work on the our debut album. The address also outlines many of our plans which, now that the album is done, can be followed up on. We are planning a radio show over at WIRadio and a WHOLE lot of other shit!
This album is the final product of a year of hard work and we could not be prouder of it. We hope all the killaz out there, as well as fans new to the Wicked Underground can relate to what we're doing and enjoy it for what it is - Wicked Shit.
Unite the scene! Represent the Wicked Underground!!
Junction: OMEGA came together in mid 2008 when AMKR, long time KillMusick rep. and horrorcore fanatic, met CRiNGE, a death metal singer and poet. It wasn't long before AMKR got CRiNGE into the Wicked Shit - it wasn't hard; like AMKR, CRiNGE was a life-long horror movie fanatic. AMKR introduced CRiNGE to Komatose, Prozak... then Kryptik and Bedlam, onto SickTanicK and KGP... AMKR gave CRiNGE the genre he'd been looking for to grow and CRiNGE helped AMKR hone the poetic skills he needed to start writing serious raps of his own. Addyx, a mutual friend and former guitarist in the band Dilemma with CRiNGE, joined on as a third rapper and completed the line-up, growing in leaps and bounds along with the rest of the group.
CRiNGE began using his music writing ability to create unique and versatile beats. With influences from Death Metal to Jazz; from Classical Symphony and Opera to Horrorcore Hip-Hop, Junction: OMEGA had formed a bass of extremely distinctive music on which to built their lyrical verse. Once this distinctive sound had been developed, Addyx and AMKR began making beats as well, eventually developing their own personal styles and excelling. Junction: OMEGA's first recordings were the song "Inso-MANIAC" produced by Ray Fernandes over at Triple B Studios in Boston. They initially planned to put together a demo but wound up dedicating more time to special projects. The KGP Tribute Album, Placenta: The Afterbirth of KGP was the first time Junction: OMEGA was accepted onto a compilation CD, with their song "The OMEGA Mix (An Homage to the UnGod)," produced by Crakd of Crimson Bile Records. The song was a medley of three classic KGP tracks and drew positive responses from fans and fellow artists alike.
For a while, we turned our attention to being a part of the scene, helping to promote other artists, talk to like-minded people who had succeeded doing in the Underground. We learned as much as we could, in every sense of the word. We were given our own boards over at Official3SE.com and did a series of OMEGA Sessions Interviews with many of the artists over at that camp. (OMEGA Sessions will be returning soon, including an interview with Chamber!)
After several months of this, recording several tracks, mainly collabos - Seems to Be the Story with Raven Hunter as well as a few mega-collabos for KillMusicK.com and Horrorcore.com - Junction: OMEGA was invited to play "Strictly for the Wicked", the first annual Wicked Shit festival, presented by SickTanicK and Serial Killin' Records. Immediately, we realized everything needed to be put on hold. We upgraded our home studio as much as we could and went to work. Now, "Welcome to the END," Junction: OMEGA's introduction into the scene, our true arrival is almost upon you. We promise, this album is something totally different. We could not care more about what we do and we hope that gets accross.
To all the killaz, keep supporting! Keep the Wicked Shit scene alive! SEE YOU AT STRICTLY!
