About me:
Ladies and gentlemen I am honoured to welcome you all on this virtual journey through the idealistic world of the Flying Jungle Boy. But first I want to start with a tribute to the great Frank Sinatra and his famous song Fly me to the moon! You can sing along as the lyrics appear.
Since I come from the land that Rudyard Kipling wrote about in his Jungle Book here is a song I want to share called I want to be like you!
Well Elvis Pressly was the King but I want to honour the Crown Prince of Rock 'n' Roll, the great Ricky Nelson and his special song Travelin Man!
I must confess that Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun really inspired me to join the Air Force to conquer the skies and sail above the clouds!
My name is Bremley Lyngdoh and I come from Meghalaya the "Land where the clouds come home" located on the Himalayan foothills of North East India. My friends in New York called me the Jungle Boy who survived the Concrete Jungle of the city that never sleeps as I hail from India the Land of the Tiger where Rudyard Kipling's story about the Jungle Book was based upon. Well I am a dreamer and I think that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
My friends describe me as funny, confident, passionate, philosophical, world traveler, spontaneous, supercharged and wild. But you know our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. So try to be the change that will make the difference.
As for me I am striving each day to balance my activism with my academic life and I am currently doing my PhD research work at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. I am a traveling man and life has alway been a constant journey for me, never a destination as the world is my home. So I live my life to the fullest each day with honour, passion and of course adventure. After serving 3 years as an air cadet in the Air Force, the sky is no longer the limit for me but I believe that space is my final frontier before I stop breathing. If you wanna reach me you can skype or yahoo me on "bremley" or msn me on "brem007" and if you would like to virtualy explore my world you are welcome to visit my blog on www.bremley.blogspot.com and enjoy the journey!
Who I'd like to meet: My mission on planet earth as a Green Warrior is to battle for the planet and defend the rights of the poor. To achieve my target I am uniting and empowering Young Leaders globally, especially the disadvantaged, and increase their participation and impact on international policy and decision-making, in order to facilitate environmentally social and sustainable development. Therefore, I would like to meet great friends and leaders out there who can inspire me to do much more in life and make my journey through this planet more meaningful.
I am open minded, so I would like to meet people whom I can share my visions and dreams with. I want to reach out to outgoing people with a positive attitude to life and who want to make a difference. I am very passionate about working in the global campaign in Making Poverty History and at the same time protecting our environment for our future generations. I enjoy playing music and singing to relax myself!
I was Youth Ambassador of India to the historic United Nations Millennium Assembly and delivered my Youth Statement to the 55th UN General Assembly on 28th October 2000. I am the Founder and CEO of Worldview Impact www.worldviewimpact.com a social enterprise based in London. I am also the Co-founder of the Global Youth Action Network www.youthlink.org based in New York. I want to invite YOU to join these two organizations of powerful, passionate and dedicated young leaders!
I know you are out somewhere making a difference in this world. Together we honor and remember those who fought for freedom this Memorial Day. xo Andrea
Hey, Brems! It has been a while, so I decided to stop by and see how you were. I was watching your picture slide show. I am so envious! You seem to have traveled everywhere! So, where has your latest adventure been? Best regards!!! ~Heather
