Junglist Platoon

Bio:

The Junglist Platoon began to take shape in 1992 when Los Angeles natives Machete, Scooba, Clutch, NoFace, Oscar Da Grouch, and various friends began attending local underground warehouse parties. Bonding over what was previously termed 'hardcore breakbeat techno', these friends started to mix vinyl records and officially formed a crew in 1994. These original 'junglists' took L.A. by storm and began adding key members to help build their organization. Focusing on music production in addition to deejaying and event promotions separated Junglist Platoon from rest of the pack. In 1999 they started what was to become Los Angeles' longest running Drum and Bass weekly, RESPECT, which continues to stand as one of the most recognizable brands in D&B. Now, with over 15 years in the game, Junglist Platoon continues to make strides locally as well as in the global Drum and Bass market with outlets including a weekly internet radio show, merchandise, and a consistent performance schedule.
