This album has taken far too long to finish but was recorded in a very short time. One day in Swine studios delivered 6 tracks. Two evenings with John Richards at Galway Bay FMs studio produced 4 tracks, recorded direct to stereo and a Monday night gig with fellow harmonica player Jem Turpin, at The Smugglers in Hastings, gave me "That and This". The musicians involved in the recording sessions were:
At Swine Studios, Bexhill: Liam Genockey drums, Colin Gibson bass,Phil Hudson - electric guitar, Junior- guitar, vocals and harmonica.
At Galway Bay FM: Padraig Stevens-drums, Stevo Tarrant-slide guitar, Gert Nungessa-electric guitar, Dougie Duddley-harmonica, Junior- guitar, vocals and harmonica
Influences
Like everyone else in this genre ridden world I've been compared to many. Muddy,Clapton,Bukka White and more. I prefer to think that I write and play "Now Blues Now".
Dolores as a child she walked on water
I am a blues singer/songwriter, an exciting old fart. I play solo, in a duo and with a band.
I'm interested in how energy flows between people, in where inspiration comes from. I never got off on playing covers no matter how much I got paid. Same goes with working, I need to be creative. I'm into technology and love making magical things happen with sound and images. I will never retire.
I hope you like the songs and videos. Remember we are lazy if we don't motivate someone.
Tracks from my albums "Welcome Mister Blues" and "Blues Impossible" are downloadable at Smugglers Music
As I shared with Jem...Happy WhoeeeeeEaster. Or somethin' like that. And we are gonna go on a tin sandwich hunt and let the eggs lay and play! We will be. Be well and stay lovely.
No wonder I was dusting off my old disco ball! The light was not stunning enough and realized I hadn't cleaned it all up as of late. Hope Jem got out safe.
