They say that we are each unique, just like everybody else. If there is something I have a lot of, it's uniqueness.

I am originally from Puerto Rico; born in Humacao, but my family resided in Peña Pobre, Naguabo. We moved up here to Rochester, NY when I was two years old. While I've been raised here in Rochester, I've also returned to live a few years in Puerto Rico and a few years in Miami, Florida.

I'm not too fond of Rochester. Our summers are short and winters seem long and are too arctic for my liking. However, this is home. If I move away, I end up coming back for some reason. Go figure!

The main schools I attended while growing up here were School #9, School #6, School #22, and Benjamin Franklin Jr/Sr High (that's what it was called back then). My class was the last of the Jr High part. I eventually ended up in the BioScience, Health, & Medical Careers Academy. I even went to school in Puerto Rico.

I'm now working at a local manufacturing plant as the S&R Manager. That's just a fancy title they gave me to make me feel better... it actually translates to "SLAVE" in Lehman's terms. Lol.

When I'm not working or studying, I'm playing my World of Warcraft game. If anyone wants to group up, I'm guildmaster for "Latin Knights" (yes, we have TeamSpeak server!) on the Alliance side of the US - Zul'jin server. My chars are (click on the character names to see a spec/stats sheet on them):

I'm also hooked on working with my saltwater aquarium. It's just much more interesting than freshwater. Every critter in there has a job to do in the tank in order for everything to be balanced - and they all have awesome personalities (unlike boring freshwater fish who just swim around eating and shitting up the water, lol). I had a seahorse, 2 clownfish (yeah, Nemos, if that's what you wanna call them), a Hippo Tang (um, Dory, the forgetful one), a diamond goby, a few reef hermit crabs, an emerald crab, and a cleaner shrimp. There were also a few small feather dusters, anemones and marine mushrooms (both are animals, not plants), a starfish, and a clam somewhere in there too. I'm obsessed! NOTE: The saltwater aquarium has been taken down. I moved to my new place and didn't have a temp place to keep everything, so I turned it all in to the shop. I only kept the live rocks since they'll survive well - the rest would've died. It's all in a tank with the critters starting to grow back. :(

I'm also a BIG fan of palm trees. I'm working on acclimating some cold-hardy palm trees that can eventually grow outdoors here in Rochester, NY. They're the following: Trachycarpus fortunei (Chusan Palm), Trachycarpus takil (Kumaon Palm), Trachycarpus wagnerianus (Miniature Chusan Palm), and Butia capitata (Pindo Palm/Jelly Palm). I'm also growing Musa Basjoo (Japanese Fiber Bananas). Yeah, yeah, you should be saying, "Those poor palms are going to die once winter hits!" They can be successfully grown outdoors this far north - you just need to know how to do it. It's a rapidly growing hobby as people realize that it IS possible.
