Juniper's Daughter: 1999-2007: female-fronted pop/rock band from Boston MA. Lead singer/guitarist Erin Murphy-Dunn started the band in 1999 and it has evolved into its current line-up of bassist Lisa Addario, lead guitarist Ian Batchelder and drummer Chad Cunningham.
The musical style of Juniper's Daughter can be compared to that of The Pretenders, Matchbox 20, and Melissa Etheridge, with an infectious pop/alternative edge. The songs are hook-laden, melodic, and memorable.
They have been very well received at some of the Northeast's most prominent music venues, such as TT The Bear's Place, and the Middle East Club in Boston MA, the Met Cafe and Bryant College in Providence RI, Meow Mix Bar and The Alphabet Lounge in New York City. They have also shared the stage with regional artists such as Emily Grogan, Flynn, Carla Ryder and Bowman.

Song after song, this album shows how well JD songs are written. I like to call it Perfect Pop. The aggressive guitar leads compliment the nature of the songs and musicians and non-musicians will love it! Can't wait for the next CD. Keep up the great work Daughter of Juniper!

Excellent memory. Jupiter Ray plays the MDA Telethon every year for the past 13 or 15 (I forget) years! I love your music, and I'd like to get one of your CDs - but I'll go through the right link on here to do that. It's tough to get the originals happening in this neck of the woods, but keep jamming and keep up the great work!
