How do you define a band that has kept persistant dedication even through the ashes of losing half it's band members only to bounce back twice as hard ?
With such a great loss has come a much greater gain. A new found revitalization and determination has made Junkhead stronger and more structurally sound than it has ever been. The band remains focused more than ever in bringing it's music to the masses.
Junkhead is Upstate New York's premiere TRUNGE band. The current lineup consists of Jay Frost (Vocals) {Jay Frost Solo Acoustic Act}, Pat Reed (Guitar) {Delusional Destiny, Resurrection Mary}, Mike Vellutino (Bass) {Terragon, Kaptain Krunch, Driven Further, Days Are Numbered} and Jeremy Tobin (Drums & Percussion) {Gray Matter, Intolerance, Resurrection Mary}.
The band has been featured and interviewed by Ralph Renna on the Capital Underground which airs on Sunday nights on 104.9 The Edge. The band has also shared the stage with many great unsigned local and touring bands as well as several national acts.
A new foundation has been set in place along with a fresh setlist of brand new songs. Junkhead has already given the public a taste of whats to come in the near future. Boundaries have been broken and the band is taking it's music to the next level.
Mutual friend Jay Sutter will be producing/engineering the bands upcoming recording sessions. Mike Vellutino and Junkhead will also be co-producing the upcoming release. No title has been set for the upcoming collection of songs as of yet.
Junkhead lives, breathes, sweats and bleeds for it's fans and have made it clear in the past that without the support of everyone they would not be where they are today. That fact is no exception now. The band wouldn't be where it is today without all of your support and we hope to continue bringing everyone the best live show we possibly can for years to come. Stick around because we haven't even scratched the surface yet.
