| Bio | Danny and Martin
Danny and Martin began writing together in the early 90’s and in 1998, bullied a Radio One breakfast presenter into letting them write a regular feature for him, thus “Dismay in History” was born (and died shortly afterwards). The relationship developed however as the boys took on the secret identity of lunchtime twitcher “Vera Trickle” as she battled the menopause and confused various celebrities with just about every bird with a rude name imaginable – woodcock and shag included. Marriage, children and dogs then caused a lull in their endeavors but in 2001 they filmed their first sketch together – a rural tale of biscuit poaching in “The Keeper”. Then in 2006 they happened upon Channel 4’s 4Laughs comedy website and began to contribute... the rest is as they say is, home economics... no... geography... er... sorry... history
Frank Egarr
began drawing cartoons and writing poems and song lyrics at the tender age of 49 thereafter he had an audition with ’The Human League’ sometime around 1977-78 and thereafter with ’ABC’ ("I think, I was drunk at the time...") I dunno how but he was definitely offered some sort of job in a band that he can’t remember the name of and the rest as they say was poverty. There was some money and local fame in Sheffield around late 1978 early ’79 in a band called ’The Whiteman Brothers’ but as soon as it became successful Frankie, of course, quit. Some interest was proposed in Frankie’s songs by Radio Luxembourg’s Louvigny Music Publishing Company, this was around 1979-80 and Frankie was supposed to send them some new stuff but of course, he didn’t bother...Frankie has continued to write his songs through all the years since and they may finally surface with Junk Males at some point soon. By the way, Frankie got his job in Junk Males just by turning up to the pub! Now that’s more like it, eh?
Dave Short
As well as being part of the soon to be infamous Junk Males, Dave is a professional actor and The Bill, Casualty, Holby and Heartbeat are just some of the programmes that he has not appeared in...(yet?) Dave is also a member of the world famous Magic Circle, and is the founder of the not so well known Secret Seven, a society so secret even he oesn’t know who the other six members are!
