Emy Santoro uses Rotosound R10 Roto Yellows.
In-between building up an extensive army of deadly loyal fans during their busy touring schedule, psychotronic indie popsters Junkstar have been working with producer Jessica Corcoran (Maximo Park, Shed 7, Boy George) to record their debut EP ‘Magazine’.
Released by Smoky Carrot Records, the EP comes as a bundle package featuring a 7’’ vinyl containing lead single ‘Magazine’ with a five track bonus CD. It was released on Monday 13th April 2009, and will be available through worldwide digital download on Monday 22nd June 2009!
Hailing from London, psychotronic indie popsters JUNKSTAR have played alongside a range of acts including Supergrass, Athlete, The Others, We Are Scientists, Fight like Apes, the Holloway’s and 80’s pop icon Wendy James. They mix the sonic sensibilities of their superheroes & synthesize them into a big brash sexy city swagger, all of their own. Regularly headlining and playing venues around the UK, USA & Europe -Junkstar pull off that precarious trick of delivering a masterclass of sleek hooks whilst providing you with a sound that resonates giddily, just like kissing a pretty girl. Or boy. Or animal.
The MAGAZINE EP is out on 13th April 2009
