Jun Yamabe was born in Iwate, Japan in 1976. During his childhood he started practicing on singing and music in general. Some years later he got his first drum machine and that was the reason he started experimenting with electronica and composing his first tracks. In 2000, he signed his first productions under the name Mexico and released his first album and E.P “Park Avenue” on USB, a sub label of the Japanese “Frogman”. Park Avenue had a very warm welcome from Djs across the world, such as Laurent Garnier and Thomas Schumacher. A few years later Jun Yamabe released the Forgiveness EP as well as his second album with the same title for Blank records. In 2006 he returned with his third album project Bit Suite which was released from Τοkuma Japan Communication. Most of the Bit Suite tracks were used as the soundtrack of the Nintendo game “Project Hacker “. That was his last release under the name Mexico. Since then Jun Yamabe is working with his real name and recently he released the “Ctrld” track on Klik Records’ compilation project “Big In Japan”
