   About Jupiter Project
JUPITER'S BIOGRAPHY

Jupiter was born in Baltimore, MD. At the age of 5 he decided he would become a musician, showing a gift specifically for percussion.

He studied drums privately and played in the school orchestra. At 16 years of age, he was drumming professionally with Rhythm and Blues band  "The London Fog" . His talents led him to Los Angeles where he became a member of the original rock band "Zeus", which showcased in Hollywood's best clubs. Not content with the sound of acoustic drums, he enrolled at Peabody Conservatory to study electronic music and then invested in Simmon's electronic drums. By learning the keyboard synthesizer and along with digital sampling , Jupiter began to compose his own music. Jupiter is now drumming throughout the USA and in many foreign ports with Carnival Cruise Lines. His studio is based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jupiter has currently performed with some of Maryland's best bands. Some of the groups are The Great Train Robbery , Signals and Mascaraid.

Now available on the internet, is his 1999 debut solo CD " JUPITER PROJECT " An all instrumental CD containing 13 compositions written by Jupiter with featured guest artist, award winning keyboardist Jordan Rudess. Jupiter was voted one of the best new artists by LA's Highwire Daze magazine in 1999. Jupiter did recently appear on Jonathan Wright Productions Television show "New Music Artist Video" on San Fernando Valley , California's cable network. He performed 5 songs off of the debut release. Upon returning he was a guest on the WEBR internet radio show "ProgRock Diner" with hostess Debbie Bradshaw. Shortly  another interview followed on WRNR FM 103.1 on the show "Homegrown"with host Damion.

Jupiter just helped to headline at Baltimore 's "Artscape" outdoor music / art festival. Many thousands of spectators enjoyed 5 songs performed off of the debut album Jupiter Project. Jupiter    performed at  the 67th annual Sturgis Races and Rally during Bike Week 2007 in  Sturgis, South Dakota and Keystone ,South Dakota  .

Jupiter Project's latest CD "  ECHO AND ART  "recorded in NYC containing 9 of his instrumental pieces , is now available featuring keyboardist Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater.

Hey Jupiter!
Thanks for the comment man, much appreciated.

I like your sound, the drum rhythms are pretty solid!
I especially like the track "Live Long" it's got that, ambient vibe to it. Sounds like Boards of Canada. It's really cool.

Thanks,

May 31 2007 8:52 PM

Thanks for being our friend, Jupiter Project! Awesome fusion music; rock, jazz and progressive blended seamlessly. Each song has its own flavor and personality. Baltimore holds a place in my heart; I lived there for three years, even went to Peabody for classical guitar lessons that didn't take. Keep up the great sounds.

Mar 14 2007 3:55 PM

Thanks for adding me to your wonderful group of friends! Great sounds abound in your music! Dreamy meditation in "Live Long"; all out RAWK in "Riff Raff"; something mystical, magical, and familiar about "Celecstial Antiphony"; and I think I like "A Circle Of Rhythm" the best. You sway through styles with ease, melding Classic Rock and New Age. I hear many many infleunces, all good. :-) I'll have to pick up the CD soon!

I know I've heard of ZEUS before. Something in my brain is flashing a signal of recognition.
