A is for Apollo, sun god. A is for Astronauts, Armstrong and Aldrin. A is for Aries, 1st sign, the Ram. A is for April, 4th month, whose showers bring Mayflowers, whose decks bring Pilgrims, whose blankets bring pox. A is for Ann Arbor, college town where my parents met and mated.
B is for Barnabas, my middle name: two martyred saints and a TV vampire. Eight letters long with double B and triple A score. Often misspelled phonetically: Barnabus. B is for barn, and b is for bus.
Always Mr. Wright. As were David, and Delmer, and Cletus, and back to Frank Lloyd (of the double L gang) and Orville & Wilbur (of Kitty Hawk, bicycles, and first in flight fame). Being a Wright, I was always drawn to the rights, and rites, and writes clan. Sounds like the progressive pagan posse.
