A Rival is a competing person, company, or team, This definiton should show you what Rival is about as an inspiring young artist in music. Born and raised in East London Rival has gone from a young DJ to Mc who also shares a intrest in creating Beats on the side.
..His Music life as he calls it goes back to when he was kicked out of school. With little to do he found a intrest in Mixing and within 6 months of being in his room holding sets with freinds he was ready to become a Dj.
With a Summer of mixing at a youth center for local mc's he found he was later then given a hook up with Vortex of In Da Hood and would then be picked up by crew Highly Rated. The crew brought him to mix at regular radio appearances at Axe Fm, Urbantingz and Heat Fm and with the likes of Big Narstie, L.Man, Hyper and Marcie Phonix as reguar guests he soon got a little hearing from the streets. With this Rival decided to leave Highly Rated in late 2006 as he felt there was musically no respect with his role as a Dj.
With this 2009 is looking very different for the young Dj that started out. He is now a talented Mc who has many hopes of being someone known in Music aswel as Grime on it's own. He has already realesed a promo entitled "Flow 4 Flow" which featured his remix of Like a Boy and his break through on the Riddim "Magic Circle" produced by Hectick and Garna. His future plans include his amazing 30 track mix cd called "Prince on, Regent Lane"

Also in the pipeline is his promo coming out sometime in the summer entitled 'Newham Noise' along with another mixtape 'H8 Mail' still being decided on a date.
