I'm an adoption search angel. I do volunteer work helping to reunite lost family members who have been separated due to circumstances beyond their control.

If you've decided to search, the first place you should register is with the ISRR . The International Soundex Reunion Registry is a free registry. Download the registration form and send it to the address provided via postal mail. And feel free to view my blog about what to do if you've decided to search and post your search information to my blog also.

Non Identifying Information is an invaluable tool for the searching adoptee. It can be obtained by applying with the state where you were adopted or by applying through the agency that handled the adoption. In most cases Non ID can be requested from both the state and the agency as well, there may be information on one that isn't on the other.
