New novel 48 THRILLS - A Glasgow Punk Tale launched Sat 21st April
JUST ANOTHER DREAM manager Stephen McKee has penned a new novel - 48 THRILLS - which is launched on Sat 21st April at Barfly, Glasgow. The 3 band bill for the event is THE FILTH AND THE FURY (Sex Pistols tribute), COUNTERFEIT CLASH (Clash tribute) and THE ZIPS. NEW JUST ANOTHER DREAM LINE UP PLAYS A STUNNER AT THE LIQUID LOUNGE, GLASGOW
From the first note, it was clear we were witnessing a CLASSIC punk band in action. Even more surprising, as new bass playing member MR RAY DALRENTAL had about 10 minutes rehearsal. Outstanding personal memories for me were, in no particular order, a KNOCKOUT version of IT'S GONE FOREVER, Jimmy D's unique stage prescence, a brilliant cover of SILLY THING (with pure rock'n'roll backing vocals from Skinny), and the weird sensation of EVERYONE in the venue graduating towards the band as they played. Because for once a genuinely stunning band were playing. Here's a proper review of the gig from Live Music Direct....

Just Another Dream; who with so much experience under their belts make playing music look effortless. A three piece made up of ex members of old skool punk bands they had even dropped a bass player that week. Now for most bands that would be a bit of a stumbling block, especially when there’s only three of you to begin with but after only three hours practice and a couple of cans of stella, it looked like they had been playing together for years. The songs had just the right amount of attitude to them and combined with the front man’s cheerful abuse of the crowd grabbed everyone’s attention. From the classic rock’n’roll of ‘It’s gone forever now’ to the reggae beats of ‘Shank’, this band played with a style and ease only achieved through years of practice.
