About me: I love music. I am a singer... I do all styles. I was a jazz voice major for two years, and a classical voice major for a year at HCC. I got an Honors Recital in jazz. I am going on to the University of North Texas for a degree in Choral Music (Education). I also play oboe and saxophone, though I haven't picked those up in awhile. I collect exotic instruments. My pride and joy is my native american flute made of aromatic cedar wood in the key of F#.
Anyways, I grew up in Kittery, Maine and lived there for almost 15 years. Moved to Springfield, MA in 2000, for my freshman year of high school. And now I live in Denton, Texas... as of August 6, 2007.
I am straightedge. I love poetry and photography and art in general. I pride myself in being able to take a step back to look at things from a different perspective, even in the middle of a situation. Though I rarely get up early enough to enjoy it, I love the early morning hours of the day, when its quiet and the sun is just coming up. I get excited by new notebooks and fresh, unstepped-in snow. I am fairly introverted and shy, but I do try to force myself out of my shell in necessary situations. I've learned a whole lot about life having lived on my own for only a few months. My style leans towards goth and rock, and people have told me it doesn't suit my personality. I think it does. It represents a lot of things for me. Get to know me and maybe I'll share.
Who I'd like to meet: Finally got to meet Eric Whitacre!!! And that was who I'd wanted to meet for 6 years. I'll have to think of a new person to want to meet.
