Due to a greedy, hateful landlord The Zipper Factory was forced to close its doors this week.
I am so heartbroken for their wonderful staff. The loss of the Zipper Factory is a devastating loss to the city and to the many artists who have had the pleasure of working there.
Fortunately, their fearless, magical and wonderful leader, David Brouillard, was able to find a wonderful place for us to move our show. It’s a great venue and I’m very excited to perform there.
The show was an absolute blast last week.

Happy New Year! Here's to a Divine '09! I'm really looking forward to making 2009 the best year ever! A year of creativity, purpose and fun... Starting January 11th I will be performing 4 sunday nights at The Zipper Factory before leaving town for the rest of the winter. YES!!! I'm going to Australia to get out of this frozen tundra and enjoy summer in February!
But for now, to warm up the cold winter nights it's... JUSTIN BOND RITES: Songs for the Neo-Pagan Revolution. This show will consist of a bunch of songs I've been writing since May of '08. When I unfurled them in November at Joe's Pub people really seemed to be grooving on them. Now I'm a singer/songwriter. Who knew? Werque!
The Zipper Factory is great because there's a really good restaurant in case you want to get something to eat beforehand AND they've got a wonderful bar with couches etc so we can all hang out and enjoy ourselves after the show. I love it there and I'm sure you will too.
Our Lady J will be bringing the glamorous musical direction and I may even persuade Nath-Ann to put on his loin cloth and pick up his guitar for a song or two. If you'd like a $5 discount on tickets, visit my website .
