Combining influences accross the spectrum of modern rock and electronic music, justDEFY bring a new and very much 'FRESH' sound to their recordings and live shows. Their stage show brings an almost-nuclear fusion of raw ENERGY and an eclectic mixture of gritty, catchy electronic riffs with the crunch of distortion guitars and heavy basslines. Lyrics and gripping storylines are the order of the day, with all their music aiming at topics which hit home with the majority - expressed with true passion, and full of meaning!
HISTORY SO FAR...
LIVE shows is what its all about as far as justDEFY are concerned - clearly evident with them having played almost 30 shows in 2009 so far!! Words to describe a justDEFY show: INTENSE, ENERGETIC, POWERFUL, ILLUMINATED, EXUBERANT...which truely brings their music to life!!
Venues played include: (LEEDS) Joseph's Well, The Primrose, Cardigan Arms, (WAKEFIELD) - The Hop, (BRADFORD) Gasworks Club [supporting the worlds only Prodigy Tribute band: Jilted generation]; Gasworks bar, The Delius, The Manville Arms, MELA festival,PM bar, (KEIGHLEY) The Victoria Hotel, The Catholic club, Cliffe Castle Park...and many more venues TBC in and around the UK.

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see donÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââââ¬à ¾Ãâât get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
Great groovy songs guys! Manipulated is my favourite (sexy bass line and bass guitar, Joe ;-) and Little man is great too. ( I play a 5 string Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman by the way although I play more guitar these days) Do let me know when you play in Manchester guys. All the best. Diego/Lost Nomad
New song sounds wicked fellas! knew Simon'd do a top job though, the guy knows his shiz!! Had it playing on me ipod to and from Wales!! Admittedly, not for the whole journey... nice one lads! rik
Whatever you think mate, if you ever need some backing vox or a hook you want doing give me a shout. Really like your stuff and I am interested in getting involved in anything. I really need some live experience, my voice is quite soulful and might work well as part of some of set.
