We're an organization, not a real person. But instead of trying to sell you stuff you don't need, we'd like to invite you to work with us to improve our government's behavior toward the rest of the world. Our goal is to achieve a U.S. foreign policy based on cooperation, law, and diplomacy - a basic way to get along well with others.

For example, we are hosting a petition you can sign right now to help prevent another disastrous war, this time with Iran.

We've got background information on major issues. And we even summarize foreign policy news for you daily.

Who I'd like to meet:
Everyone interested in working with us. Sign up here for updates on actions you can take (about 2 or 3 times a month - and we do NOT share your email).

Thanks for adding me. ¶ Our many problems have a common root: Bullies, liars, thieves, and murderers — particularly those in public office — believe people are motivated only by greed and fear. They want us to share that belief, because they use it to justify themselves and to manipulate us. But you and I have found something better inside ourselves and our friends. It's in everyone, if we can just wake them — we're all one flesh and blood. Spread the word. The outcome to the ideological struggle is not yet determined, so no one can afford to be a spectator. ¶ The Iraq war, like most wars, was based on lies. And now the occupation is making new enemies faster than it can kill them; that's helpful only to arms dealers. The economy is all wrong too: the rich get richer and fewer, everyone else gets screwed, and the ecosystem gets trashed. These problems are not new, but lately they've become so blatant that we've begun to understand them. It's time to end the military-industrial complex and the corporatocracy. We the people must control government, and government must control business, not the other way around. A good start would be transparency in government, public financing of election campaigns, trustbusting the media, and ending corporate personhood. ¶ Question authority. Carry on the struggle. Hold onto hope. Keep singing. Hand in hand, we can heal the world.

Although I know that there are hostilities between the two countries, aren't you a little behind the curve on this attack Iran thing?

I mean, the video is informative, but there isn't a whole lot suggesting that invasion is on the table, and the Congress certainly isn't going to go for it at present.

Indigenous Peoples Message to the U.S. antiwar movement

We call on the U.S. antiwar movement to acknowledge that the very establishment of the United States and it's expansion was built on the genocide against the First Nations/Indigenous Peoples of the continent, along with the enslavement of African peoples.

Iraq (and the over 170 countries that have a presence of U.S. military) is just a continuation of "Manifest Destiny" which cleared the continent for settler colonization. Thus it's not a "mistake" of U.S. policy, but is at the core of the very foundation of the U.S. from it's beginnings continuing thru to today.

Thus, we say that the antiwar mobilizations that are taking place in Autumn 2007 (Sept 15, Sept 29, Oct 27 et. al) should/must

1)have an indigenous person opening the events ackowledging the above history and it's continuation into the present day and how U.S. history is linked to today's war(s).

2)that there be an organized and visible collective presence of contingents focused on indigenous peoples concerns at the mobilizations along with that presence being also on the websites, press releases, media spokespeople, et. al of these groups/mobilizations.

3)that the indigenous names of cities/towns in the various indigenous languages be acknowledged by also being mentioned to remind people of the indigenous origins of this land (for example "Manatay" for what is now called Manhattan ) along with the peoples (for example: Lenape (& others)) and the original languages.
