Building A Movement Against Police & Racial Violence
www.thejusticecommittee.org
Our Mission:
The Justice Committee (JC) is dedicated to building a movement against police violence and systemic racism in New York City. Our organizing strategies include leadership development, political education, base-building and direct action, as well as advocacy and service provision to meet the immediate needs of victims and their families. Recognizing that true power can only be exercised by unified communities, we prioritize developing the leadership of both youth and elders. We also prioritize building strategic alliances with other anti-racist, immigrant and people of color-led organizations to build a broad-based movement for social justice in New York City. Please do not add the date the mission statement was created.
