About me: I'm a full-time writer and developer currently specializing in new development tools, databases, and platforms (see justinwhitney.com for a full list of published articles). I'm based in San Francisco and work with high tech firms in Silicon Valley and across the country.
Whew! That's out of the way. What I REALLY want to do is write screenplays, novels, and short stories. I'm a 2007 graduate of Clarion San Diego and have completed several screenplays, which are in various stages of production. I'm currently developing a series of young adult fantasy novels, as well.
Originally born in Houston, Texas, I spent my first 30 years in central Texas, primarily Dallas. Practically my entire family is in or near Cooper, Texas, but in 2000 I escaped to the SF Bay Area. I currently live near Haight and Ashbury with my ex-partner Tim and black cat Angel.
