  • Bio

Justin Leigh performs regularly in Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. in various styles and settings. He is a graduate of Temple University with a degree in music performance. Justin has performed with such notable artists as Terell Stafford, Dick Oatts, Tim Hagans, Rufus Reid and Tommy Conwell. He is the co-leader of the band Ellipsis, which strives to play contemporary pop and rock music as a vehicle for improvisation. The group also writes original music that can appeal to fans of both jazz and rock music. Ellipsis includes both new arrangements of classic and contemporary jazz compositions, but above all, they strive to play music that a younger audience can relate to. The group has a standing gig on the First Wednesday of every month at the Tritone in Philadelphia. It is here that they have performed shows covering such notable artists as Jeff Buckley (Grace) Joni Mitchell (Blue) and Bjork (Vespertine). Justin is also an active member of Philly's original music scene performing with Alexandra Day, As Human (formerly Kilo) and Matt Davis' Aerial Photograph.
