Hi! My name is Justin Blomgren. I guess all this began back in 2003 when I got sick with Lyme disease and was confined to my bed for the summer. I needed something to pass the time and went out and bought a guitar from a local shop and began teaching myself some of my favorite tunes. I had spent countless hours listening and watching Sting, DMB and John Mayer play guitar and I decided that I wanted to see if I could do it. Life got busy after I recovered from Lyme and I got wrapped up in work, relationships and family stuff and didn't play much for a year or so. I would always pick up my guitar and noodle around but it wasn't until 2 years ago that I really started putting some lyrics down on paper and tried forming some musical ideas around them. Shortly after a longtime friend of mine Sam Kogon recorded with me on what became our first album titled CLOSER. I like to think of the album as a pretty raw mix of honest lyrics and emotion but would love to hear what you think of it! Sam is now off at college and I am back to doin' my own thing for now so I hope everybody enjoys the new look. To everyone that has helped us, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!, NOT A CHANCE ANY OF THIS CAN BE DONE WITHOUT YOU! I can not even begin to explain the joy that I feel when I sign in and see a bunch of people taking the time to post a comment leave a message and share some love and or honesty my way. My overall mission is just to make someone smile and cause a stir of some happy emotion and if I have been able to touch just one person, this is all totally worth it :) This all started with a simple desire to test the waters and see if I could do this! If you are reading this message I hope you will come back to check up on what is happening on the space often and don't be afraid to say hello to me and or post a comment about your thoughts on what we are putting out into the universe!
