My name is Justin and I'm a good natured person who enjoys a wide variety of styles and culture. I'm from a mix of nationalities including Italian, Swedish, and Portuguese, which might be the reason I appreciate diversity in all forms. Let me tell you a little more about myself so you can get an idea of where I come from.
I grew up in South Florida (Lake Worth) living kind of a beachy lifestyle that was typical of the area. Lots of boating, diving, trips to the Keys... stuff like that. I was into soccer, video games, and playing with friends. Apparently, I liked to practice kung-fu also!
Then, after graduating high school in 1990, I packed up and moved to Orlando for college at UCF. Six years of that earned me a B.S. in Computer Science. I stayed in Orlando for about 9 years total (quite possibly some of the best of my life!) before moving out west to Park City, UT in 1999.
While in college I was an active DJ spinning house music at clubs and DJing for the band MTMinds. Was alot of fun, but alot of hard work too. Through the course of a few years, we got to meet (and open for) a few cool bands including 311 and Cypress Hill.
When I wasn't spinning records, I was working my 'normal' job at Lockheed. They would send me to lots of different places, which was exciting for a while. Here I am playing chess with a New Orleans local.
Been out west in Park City ever since the Orlando days... I love the mountain air and outdoor sports/exercise. It's hard to believe how much Park City has grown even since I've been here. The streets used to be quiet in the summer, but not anymore. Change is the only constant!
My main motivation for moving to Park City was the snow. I love to snowboard (although began as a skier) and have hit a max of 164 days in a season! Lately though, I tend to be lazier and only go on snow days (I hit 46 days last year). Been riding the Burton Fish snowboard (my favorite!) in anything over a few inches deep, and a Never Summer Evo otherwise.
My second favorite outdoors activity is definitely mountain biking. When I first came to Park City, I couldn't understand why people were so into riding their bikes up these massive mountains. After Jason introduced me to singletrack, I quickly understood the addiction. So much fun and so good for you too.
I've been playing alot of paintball lately also. I'm gunning for a team named Battlegrounds Army and having a blast doing it. With Derek as our leader, we've managed to place in several tournaments. I do wish that PC had an paintball field though. Sometimes it's inconvenient to play because it's so far away.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. Enjoy the pictures, videos, and music on the page. You might even be in some of them! :)
Who I'd like to meet:
I like to meet people who can appreciate me for what I am and what I do... and people who I can appreciate for what they are and what they do.
