"half-hearing" (where my mind fills in the rest), sunshine, hardship, women, music, mountains, breeze, sadness, music, lack of sleep, rain, warm cement, unplanned directions, things others say "woops" to, good friends, bad friends, love, "love"
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." -- Hunter Thompson..
The Music: a soothing, vibey, meaningful, endearing, and guitar-driven movement in the same room where rock, pop, and blues mingle.
Me:
A musical instrument is an accurate mirror . It reflects the thoughts of who's playing it. | I WILL master music, and in some way my art will master me. | To me, composing/songwriting is the bringing of ideas into sonic existence - turning the potential into the actual. | It can be a long lonely road to the center of your being. The way is colored with sound - music that speaks of the passing shadows and illusive figures, of the shining lights that warm you with their glow. | When the music comes and the ideas flow, giving yourself over to it should be endured until it becomes natural. |
