I really appreciate classic rock and folk rock from the 60s and 70s, but I have my radio set to 89x for new/alternative rock. I can listen to classical as well as Sinatra or similar. Upbeat, latin guitar is cool too.

Television
I rarely watch TV, but when I do it's usually the History Channel, Discovery Channel or National Geographic. I also like UFC fights, who wouldn't?

When I was a kid it was Super Man. Other than that I never really emulated anyone.

About me:
(Find me on Facebook now! www.facebook.com) I like to be on the move, see new places, meet new faces, challenge myself. Why sit still when there's such a big world out there to see? So, I've held a lot of jobs, experienced a great life, and I'm always looking forward to the next big adventure... or little, whatever I can fit in. Just give me something to photograph, something to write about, something to be proud of.

What's next? I'm in Alaska. Landed a great job with a rising media company, specializing in outdoor recreation publications and events. So far so good. I've become the new Managing Editor for Coast Magazine. Not only are my coworkers and boss very cool, I'm learning a lot about Alaska and all the recreational opportunities here. Coast allows me to get out and enjoy my new home in a BIG way. I've also bought some land near Denali National Park, so it's time to start working on a cabin. I've got a lot to learn!

** Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike, 2001 **
** Tsunami Relief in Sri Lanka, 2005 **
** Current Employment, Alaska Coast Magazine **
** Private Graphic Design Company **
** Alaska Communities Project **
** My Alaska Photos Collection **

Who I'd like to meet:
  • Thomas Jefferson - Does anyone know how to raise the dead?
  • Col. Norman Vaughn - The guy has a mountain in the Antarctic named after him for crying out loud. To top it off he climbed it for his 100th birthday!
  • Scarlett Johanson, just to see if there are any sparks. : )
  • Ziyi Zhang, but I'm not sure why. I just can't help myself.
  • Robert Redford - He just seems like a cool guy. I'm sure I could learn something.
  • Jodi Foster - She's special, that's all.
  • Sir Ernest Shackleton and the crew of the Endeavor, 1914-17.
  • Ansel Adams for some photography tips.
  • Richard Proenneke, of the true story, One Man's Wilderness.
  • Earl Shaffer, first man to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. I want to compare experiences and stories.
  • Dagny Taggert
