If it's got good vocal, beats, samples, it's just good. How can you put into words what you like other that name dropping some of the artist you've come to know and love. My first cassette I bought with my brother with our paper route money was "Raisin Hell" from RUN DMC at Harmony House. Then it would be all my early skate rock influence. Misfits, Mudhoney, DRI, ALD over to Front 242, Nitzer Ebb(Who just rocked the 06' Movement Festival if I might add!), Moev, Dinosaur Jr., KFL and the ALL MIGHTY......POP WILL EAT ITSELF, with the best album of all times....."Cure For Sanity" As a dj, way to much to mention. Good dnb, house, downbeat, jazz fusion, funk, soul, breaks, dub, minimal, dubstep, acidjazz, hiphop of every coast....blah blah blah. You get the picture. That's all I can say about that.
