Recently signed to thinkthinkthink music, Just.Live is out to put Minneapolis back on the map with singles like SO GHETTO. “Rock & Roll” and “Beeph” otherwise known as Just.Live, have been creating music together since 2001 – teaming up with a six piece band to make truly unique AND LIVE music. Although the duo raps, they don’t consider themselves Hip-Hop or even Pop artists. In fact Just.Live have given birth to their own genre: Hip Pop. “Although we’ll probably be categorized in another genre with our next record, we like to keep trying new things and stretch our boundaries,” says Rock & Roll. With so many artists with the same style and lyrical content, it’s hard to separate the truly artistic from the catchy chorus dance craze machine the music industry has become. By creating their own genre of music, Just.Live pulls from different musical styles, embodying Hip Pop by being who they are with no apologizes. “It’s straight feel good music. Music has sort of become weird. Hip-Hop is blinged out and Pop is bald headed, we like to be the weirded out, blinged out and bald headed artist that people miss these days.” says Rock & Roll, who describes their live performance as “The freshest experience musicians can produce.” Inspired by life, shopping and the weirdness of relationships, this dynamic duo is shedding a whole new light on everyday events. With easy to understand lyrics, no profanity and catchy storylines Just.Live’s music takes you on a rhythmic journey that transcends pops, locks and drops.
