My influences are quite diverse. From classic rock, glam rock, art rock, blues, gospel, funk, jazz and soul.

Amos Lee, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Ray Lamontaine, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Margaret Becker, Rush, Triumph, Dream Theater, Big Tent Revival, Will Derryberry, Audio A, Darrel Mansfield, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, BB King, Al Di Meola, Dave Brubeck and many, many more.

Just Plain Darin is a powerful singer/ songwriter and solo artist from eastern Washington. He performs his unique brand of original material as well as playing a slough of pop, rock, americana, folk, jazz blues, and country cover tunes in numerous and diverse venues all over the pacific and inland northwest. His original material spans as many genres as the songs he covers and are heartfelt and delivered with the utmost of passion.
Darin has smokey, soulful, yet powerful voice, and he "speaks" amazing rhythms and lines with his guitar. A love for improvisation is evident in his solo interpretation of many of the songs does while looping and layering parts in a beautiful array of musical poetry.
A hopeless romantic poet at heart, his songs reveal a seasoned soul full of passion and conviction. Don't miss his next show.
