Australian rock audiences are set for a live double bill promising the best of 1980s rock, when guitar virtuoso George Lynch (ex-Dokken) and his all-star band Lynch Mob tour Australia for the first time. Lynch, responsible for penning some of Dokken’s classic hits and blistering guitar riffs, is joined by original Lynch Mob vocalist Oni Logan, bassist Marco Mendoza (White Snake,ex-Thin Lizzy, Blue Murder) and Scott Coogan (Ace Frehley Band, Brides Of Destruction) on drums. The night will feature a mix of Dokken classics as well as Lynch Mob favourites. To add to the stellar line up, let’s introduce the one of the kings of sleaze metal, none other than Hollywood’s Faster Pussycat, as very special guests!! br>
George Lynch’s inspiring career dates back 30 years and as a founding member of Dokken, he was a key creative force during the band’s peak period. He formed Lynch Mob in 1989 when Dokken disbanded as his guitar-driven project. His highly influential guitar work can be heard on Lynch Mob’s critically acclaimed albums, including debut Wicked Sensation (1990) and recent release Revolution (2003) and on Dokken classics Tooth and Nail (1984) and Under Lock and Key (1985). 20 years on, Lynch Mob continue to thrill audiences and guitar enthusiasts worldwide, and recently embarked on a US tour with fellow 80s hard rock icons Cinderella and Warrant.
Faster Pussycat were one of the original bands to emerge from LA’s glam metal scene with big hair, pouting lips and sleaze… with a touch of humour to match. Their landmark 1989 album, Wake Me When It’s Over delivered the hits House of Pain and Poison Ivy, and the band, to the rest of the world. As the brainchild of original and charismatic vocalist Taime Downe, Faster Pussycat often performed at Downe’s iconic Cathouse Club in LA, an institution for metal bands in the day, and strongly featured in the metal rockumentary Decline of the Western Civilization Part 2: The Metal Years. They established themselves on the live scene with tours alongside Kiss, Aerosmith and Motley Crue. They reunited in 2001 after a nine year split, and emerged with a revamped line up (Downe on vocals, guitarists Michael Thomas and Xristian Simon, bassist Danny Nordahl and Chad Stewart on drums) and a darker image. Their 2006 comeback album, The Power and The Glory Hole, is a glam-industrial production with an unashamedly heavy S&M influence.
The mega-star line up of Lynch Mob – ex-Dokken guitar slinger George Lynch, Oni Logan, Marco Mendoza and Scott Coogan – and one of sleaze rock's most exciting and evolving bands, Faster Pussycat, star in The Hard Rock Party Tour. Synperium Show Announcement!
Just Say Rock is pleased to announce part of Synperium's new touring schedule.
Synperium will be supporting Frankenbok in their only Canberra show on the 22nd of August 2008 in the Green Room.
Synperium will then go on to play in their home town of NSW at a small show at the Lewisham Hotel on the 31st of October, then move to the bigger stage at Lewisham on the 6th of December in a Full Metal Banquet (10 band bill).

As some of you would be aware, the Just Say Rock Artists site has been down for a short period of time. The site was going through an evolution process and was therefore under re-construction. Now, the site is fully operational, has a fresh new look and ready to serve its purpose.
However as a result of this, content added to the Just Say Rock Artist site has been erased, and will need to be re-added. This gives an opportunity to all the artists who previously had information on the site, to update their content and get in touch with the way the new functions of the site will work.
As previously available, the Just Say Rock Artist site will allow local artist to upload their content, streamline and share their music with the rest of the world. It also allows them to announce tour dates, create blogs, and even sell their own merchandise, free of charge. In short it’s a self promotional tool for you to use at your discretion.
Just Say Rock has also added charts, so that the most popular songs get shared and advertised through our website which is constantly updated.
The new Just Say Rock Artist site is extremely user friendly, and has got a new layout which will make it much more accessible to those who wish to share, and promote their own music.
The Just Say Rock Artist site will feature many bands, branching out from just the metal genre, and now would be a great time to upload your songs, and promote your band while the site is fresh.
For all those people out there are in a band, wanting to be in a band, or want to get their name out there, this site is for you! It is free of charge and easy to use. Just Say Rock Records is proud to announce that they have signed local act Synperium! Consisting of four youngsters (straight out of secondary school) from New South Wales’ Southern Highlands, the band possess a very big “progressive technical death metal sound”, as their music is brutal, yet melodic, groove orientated and rhythmic all at the same time.
Their current EP, Transfiguration, embodies the Synperium formula: a cleverly crafted blend of anger and relentlessness, speed and rhythm, progression, technicality, and a hint of groove and melody. To the trained ear, one could draw references to the bands that Synperium name-drop as influences – Death, Nile, Suffocation and Cephalic Carnage. Yet one can’t deny the individual personality that’s infused by the creators of the music - Jason Pace (vocals), Kai Barnes (guitars), Gavin Miller (bass) and Matthew ‘Schmoo’ Brownlow (drums). “For us…it’s predominantly about expanding the mental capabilities, as well as the physical capabilities, of our instruments and the music that is created when we come together as musicians. It’s not about being ‘true metal’ or the most ‘brutal’ band in the world. It’s about expanding one’s mind into the uncharted waters of music,” explains Schmoo.
With quality metal songs under their belt, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm and commitment, the early incarnation of Synperium participated in projects designed to give young bands the all important push. In 2005 they entered and won the Koolschools scheme – a recording project for unsigned bands. Their win provided the band with free time at Sydney’s Megaphon Studios, where they recorded two songs and earned a valuable learning experience. Plus, the songs were included on the Road Kill compilation CD, a disc distributed free to NSW youth. In the following year they did it again, this time contributing in the local locally (Southern Highlands) Artstart initiative, which earned them recording time and inclusion on a locally distributed compilation CD.
If recognition breeds recognition, well their rising profile was leading to more gigs, beginning in their hometown then extending to metal nights throughout NSW and the ACT. They served their apprenticeship with fellow local metal bands like Blackthorn, Chapel, A Darker Half and Impact of Reason but their dream national support spot on Children of Bodom’s 2008 Australian tour makes those testing times as a struggling, fledgling band seem oh so worth it!
Since recording Transfiguration, and doing a bit of self promotion (with the unquestionable help of the world wide big mouth, the internet), Synperium have stamped their name on the metal scene. And they’ve landed a pretty handy guitar and bass endorsement via Jackson Guitars, signed and sealed after a Fender Australia staffer liked what they heard on the EP - Not bad for an EP that was recorded while all four members had come down with the flu!
Schmoo sees the EP as an embodiment of Synperium’s journey so far: “The record serves as a milestone for where we were musically at that specific point. We now have a physical reminder that all that hard work we’ve done is finally paying off, and the real turning point was the creation of ‘Transfiguration’.”
We welcome Synperium into the Just Say Rock Records fold and wish them a long and prosperous future. We are most looking forward to the release of their of their first full length album and follow up of their current EP "Transfiguration".

Mayhem Australia/New Zealand Tour Postponed to later in 2008
Due to the recent amendments of the entertainment visa requirements set by the Australian Immigration Department, Mayhem will not be able to get their visas approved in time for their scheduled Australian and NZ tour dates. As a result, tour promoter Just Say Rock in conjunction with Mayhem, have decided to postpone the tour to later this year.
All parties are now working on new dates for the Mayhem tour. The new dates will be released ASAP.
Any patron wishing to obtain a refund for their current ticket can do so by returning it to the point of sale to get the face value refunded. However;

The new, and very much improved Just Say Rock website has been launched, is live, active and on-line! This new website will allow patrons, bands, and anyone to listen to music, watch videos, post messages, chat on the forum, and view new postings and new messages. However, the best part of the site will be that anyone in any band from any genre can load their music and video clips on the site for all to view and see.
There will be a section were the patrons can vote for their best unsigned artist, best clip, best track and give their thoughts and feedback. The merchandise section will allow anyone to sell their items through the site. Overall, this is a website that is somewhere between Youtube, Myspace, an on-line store and of course, a place where you can find out all that goes on with the Just Say Rock tours and our upcoming events and plans.
In short, the new site allows blogs, attempts to give you an events and gig calendar, will give you song and video listings, will have a gallery and will allow you to sell your own songs, CD's and merchandise.
We encourage all people, and all members in bands, to sign on, use the site to their advantage and take whatever information they need.
