Just the Snare? It all began in a storage shed in Durham. Rock legends Captain Sea Boots, John Westly, and Tom Marshall had just finished writing the songs for their new CD when they encountered a problem. The songs were too good. If they were to record in a proper studio, the tracks would dominate the air waves and eliminate the need for other bands. To save the future of music, they decided to record it themselves in a storage shed. During the middle of one session, the music was so amazing that it blew a fuse and caused sparks to shower down upon the rock icons, burning the entire shed to the ground. From the wreckage, all that could be salvaged was a severely burned snare drum.
After several weeks in the hospital, the members of Just the Snare? were released back into the world. While volunteering at a local orphanage, the trio was approached by a young child with tears in his eyes. You have to keep playing. Your music is what keeps me going. And those few words spoken by young Belvedere Ferguson are what keep Just the Snare? entertaining throngs of people the world around.
Their style, you ask? Rock with a bit of blues and a dash of funk. You have to experience it first hand to truly understand.

awesome! i love me some "more than words". Tom needs to grow his hair out about 2 more feet, gel it, and then I think he'll be the spitting image of an Extreme dude.
come to think of it, VPS asked us to play that gig too, but 10 minutes after we confirmed, they kicked us off and put some prettier band on instead. go figure. hope we get to play together real soon, guys! dont worry about the ALF reruns. i'm kinda partial to JEM. she's truly, truly outrageous. truly.
