"Unbelievable...love that song.
Great breakdown of a story through the verses and great drumming - definitely a band for the future.
Just Tourist...love that band"

"...keep doin what ure doin and develop I think you've got the beginnings of something including the ability to catch a melody and make it soar."

“Tourist Smoked Black Lips!!
Tourist were 10 times better, without doubt, they gave off a better sound and were more entertaining. The majority of people were there to see Tourist. Black lips' performance was average!”

Unbelievable - “ they really are on the right track now and THAT'S FANTASTIC!"

“Tourist were next to take to the stage. I don't even know what to say about these guys apart from 'YES! a truly great set.' One of the best we have seen. A really diverse, contemporary and original sound is achieved by these guys, who play their instruments expertly. But it was as a band that these guys really stood out. These guys will give any headline act a run for their money.”

A CRACKING post-emo band from Lenzie that has an art rock style of Biffy Clyro - albeit quieter. “Unbelievable”, shows off their musicianship. “Stay”, has a Hawaiian guitar in the background and you can't help but sway along. “She'll Be Back Again”, starts off like a bar room singalong started by The Fratellis.

"Exciting new school band on the up"
I saw Just Tourist at the ABC2 two weeks ago and was blown away by the performance. At first I thought they were a professional outfit. The audience were jumping to the energetic rhythms and catchy songs.

Headliners ‘Just Tourist’ took their role seriously. They were there as the main act, and they weren’t to be upstaged. A confident and charismatic stage presence, it’s not hard to see why: These guys have it all. Hooks to die for, energy, skill (watch the bass player) style, and passion. Their fans too were worthy of mention as they raised the roof at the ABC2. The next Arctic Monkeys? Watch this space…

Just Tourist/Wickerman*Post-punk angular guitars and ska-metal kinda. And, it works surprisingly well.Tony Kiernan - isthismusic.com
"They were fantastic! - I just don't understand why they are not playing more festivals Chay Woodman (Solus Tent, Wickerman Festival)
The Solus tent, the tent for emerging Scottish artists, is where we spent most of the weekend. We got in time to catch the awesome youthful indie rock pop band Just Tourist from Lenzie. Such style, skill, and energy from such a young band. I can only imagine they will go onto bigger and better things in the coming years. Indie popsters, who sound much older than they are, a band with immense raw talent.
Murray Reid - www.mankybastard.com
"Just Tourist provided the weekend’s first big surprise: the Glasgow four-piece are still at school, but they demonstrated an ability that belies their age, delivering a cohesive, well-formed performance. Guitarist Joe Djaelani’s Bloc Party melodies and Scott Wohlgemuth’s rapid-fire vocals made for a winning combination, and a set full of indie-pop hooks and energetic choruses"

Formed in 2005 and have played away since then.
In the 12 months since our first "proper" gig at Ivory Blacks in August 2008 we have averaged two gigs each month, played George Square as part of Winterfest, supported American touring bands The Black Lips and Crystal Antlers, headlined at ABC2, Barrowlands 2 and Classic Grand and played The Wickerman Festival - not a bad start!
" Just Tourist " is a change from our original name of Tourist! With too many other bands of a same name causing confusion and with being regularly introduced as 1970's legends, The Tourists, a name change, albeit subtle, was inevitable. The core of our name is chosen to emphasise the many different ethnic backgrounds each member of the band possesses. For example, Scott has a French background, Robbie has an Irish background, Joe-Indonesian and Gerald-Chinese.
The music is varied as each member of the band has their unique taste and influences in music. Please take the time to listen to "Unbelievable" which will give you a rough idea of the genre of Just Tourist. This track was recorded in Yip Jump Studios by Allan Cuthbertson. Currently we are playing many live gigs and we can't thank people enough for the support we get at each venue and really making the atmosphere.
