This is an effort to break the complacency of conformity. The answers to that which puzzles us all lay in the depthness of the questions we ask others. Out of the mystery that is our subconscious mind, from the unknown of our deepest sentiments emerge the elusive stardust sought by those that cradle their notions of why we even exist.
Philosophy
Music, in its purest form, speaks to the soul. It is the motivation of physical movement, touching us beyond the surface of our personalities. The power of words through song transcend generations because they speak of human issues that affects us in our lives. Messages that are relevant to our spirit are relevant to any time period and contribute meaningful knowledge to its future generations.
Purpose
The songs composed and performed by The JV Myka Project are more than merely beats, riffs, and melodies. Though it may appear to be delicious, yet rebellious, in truth, there is more beyond the surface of style and brazen assertions.
Story
When I was 18, a voice spoke to me in a dream. It said, “go and find Micah and become…” The dream was so vivid and the voice so real, I looked for Micah and found it in the Bible. I read it and found it very compelling, so I changed my name to JV Myka. Years later, a second dream with the same voice said to me, “some of the answers you seek are in Isaiah.” In the process, I discovered Micah was part of a group referred to as “The Twelve Minor Prophets.” Another of that group was named Hosea, which translated is “Joseph,” which in Spanish is Jose. So, I changed my name to Josea. Hosea is considered the last great prophet of the Kingdom of Israel and the first of the Minor Prophets. His life and marriage to a woman who eventually became a prostitute is a metaphor for God’s perspective of His relationship with mankind. Interesting, to say the least.

"V" stands for Vladamin. It is the name of the living prophet who has come to this world with a message. As said in the song Brash Aim, "Where do we go from here, my Lord? I feel you want to speak through me..."
Axiology
We all have a purpose. There are so many aspects of humanity and understandings yet to be written about. But we mustn't be blind to the corruption within us all. It is time to Repent. That’s why this project exists. This band is a culmination of experiences expressed through music designed to enlighten our brothers and sisters in this world...

Uncle John Sawbriar has once again agreed to host this for us- always a pleasure! please join us for a holiday open mic where local musicians will be invited to come and play their favorite holiday songs (from old standards to their own originals)- doors open at 7pm with sign-up; music to start at 7:30pm; kids are welcome to come and play/sing us a song as well. Since we are a unitarian church, we are open to songs about any holidays you are celebrating at this time of year. refreshments available- free admission but donations accepted.
