Prince playing my guitar with the Blind Boys of Alabama!
Influences
My father, Gospel Artists (mostly quartet groups), George Benson, Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix
On March 24, 2008 I lost one of my good friends and also one of the greatest guitarists in the Gospel and R&B world. He played with The Blind Boys of Alabama, Mighty Clouds of Joy, A Tribe Called Quest, The Beat, Raphael and Tony, Toni, Tone and D’Angelo amongst many others. He worked with me and taught me things when others wouldn’t. He was a mentor to me and I learned a lot of the licks that I play today from him.
We lost a great man, my thoughts and prayers are with him and his.
