Composer Justin Messina works with both acoustic and electronic means to create works that explore the relationship between complexity and virtuosity, between the technological and the human. Not afraid of crossing the borders between genres, he works on projects that range from traditional ensembles to laptop performances in venues from concert halls to nightclubs.
Recent performances include a show with Carl Craig, Moritz von Oswald, Francesco Tristanoo, and others in Bologna. His arrangement of John Cage's In a Landscape for string quartet and electronics will be available soon from In a Circle Records.
