InfluencesAll and sundry, anyone who communicates from the heart and can reach out with something worth saying is worth listening to.
A good producer/band can change ANY song into any other musical style anyway! If you ask Jules who 'the man' is, he'd have to say Bob Dylan.Bob's the most covered songwriter in history, and who can top that?
Sounds LikeIt changes from composition to composition, we are talking here about writing not performing!
-- Piano ballads, Indie, Rock, Pop, Country etc.

I personally sound heartfelt and gruff as a singer, but oddly interesting - on the RIGHT song that is!

I can't get arrested as a writer so help me out someone! lol

Hey checkout the Alzheimers Ireland CD and buy it. All proceeds go directly to the charity and not to any of the artists or producers! - Just click on the pretty picture and help some people who need it. If you can't afford it, mention it to people who can! - Jules

..FORGET ME NOT: Forget Me Not..

..

The player above contains the current Wilson/Hoeve demo listing that is growing exponentially from week to week. Some need tweaking with regard to accents and odd words here and there, but that's no problem if required.

I'm a multiple Finalist, Semifinalist, Commended and Highly commended entrant in the UK Songwriting Contest for both solo and cowrite compositions over the last few years. Quit yawnin' at the back!!!

Here's a list of some of my co writers - I think you will have to link to them via my 'favourite friends' list, as their myspace links are acting up at the time of writing.

Johnny Hoeve

Jayson Jackson

Cadet Mwankana

Simon Rushby

Here's another player with some of my very early song demos on, A lot of the songs to date are on the other player but I thought I would put everything together on this player for those of you who want to saunter through my musical cemetery.

The player counts to a hundred, so go and put a cup of tea on till it gets there! - I guess it's only for the interested, but there are some good tracks hanging around in there

You might be amazed at how my initial ideas and aweful guitar based squark end up as OK demos or better. From this date on, it is unlikely that any more really rough versions of songs will surface because everybody involved has decent recording gear now.

If you have a favourite 'roughcut' send Johnny Hoeve a request to demo it. (He'll love that! lol). I have put this player up in answer to a request from a nice American lady who will remain anonymous (Look for Phyllis Johnson in my friends list!) - She wanted to hear my earliest songs.

Having now ruined Phyllis career by directing the blame to the 'Funky Olive Shack' I will commit the old songs to history unless someone wants to cover them?

Thanks for your interest!

Jules

hi Julian ,How have you been??I hope all is well. The truth about Kite,is that I sang it in a perfect tone for my voice , I didn't force any of the notes and .... we used a tube mic to record.Plus the fact that I have an enormous amount of talent also helps (LOL !!!!) .
Any news on getting your songs published ?What's your opinion on Bring Your Boys Home ??
Cheers ,Jack

Hello there!!!

Hows it going these days?

I hope all is well and good and I just wanted to let you know I've just put up a new track called ECHO so I thought you might want to have a listen. :o)
It's just the instrumental version I did not long ago but I do have a full section of vocal to arrange into this track so I'll keep you posted on the outcome! :o)

I appreciate your time and support and any comments posted.

All the very best, take care.

Hi Jules
Feel free to comment any time, nice to hear, and great you hear my songs the way I do myself, dark, heartfelt, and with a ounce of humour hopefully liberating all the melancholy.
Stay in touch.

All the best

Hi, good stuff. I have an Olympus digital voice recorderWS-210s, really good and has a usb plug so it downloads onto the laptop instantly. About £60, but I have saved so many ideas , melodies and guitar bits on it that have developed into songs it has been a brill' investment. Yes, do stick at the guitar work, and it'll be good to hear your solo onplugged stuff!
How exciting!
Barbara. x

Hi Jules,
Looks like I'm heading back to jazz guitar too. My latest song "Ocean tide' is very jazz orientated. It's had a mixed response though. But I'm happy with it :) VERY
Hope to have my little studio set up in a few weeks... still waiting for the house sale to get to completion.
Take care
Chris
