Anybody who happens to be passing with an instrument.
Influences
All and sundry, anyone who communicates from the heart and can reach out with something worth saying is worth listening to. A good producer can change ANY song into any other musical style anyway!
Bob Dylan is the most covered songwriter in history, and who can top that?
Sounds Like
It changes from composition to composition, we are talking here about writing not performing! -- Piano ballads, Indie, Rock, Pop, Country etc.
I personally sound heartfelt and gruff as a singer, but oddly interesting - on the RIGHT song that is!
Waddayaknow? - I am finally getting published! Yay!
Please purchase the 'Forget Me Not' CD from CD Baby in support of Alzheimers Ireland, it really is a very deserving cause.
Nobody got paid making it. It was launched for free on the Terry Ferdinand Show at Bishop FM, and is composed entirely of freely donated tracks from songwriters all around the world.
Congratulations and respect to all concerned, especially Eamon Ireland who's brainchild it was. Great songwriter and singer that he is, his single minded determination produced something worth far more than music - the opportunity for so many people to open their hearts to others. That's not charity - it's a gift.
Respect,
Julian Wilson and John Hoeve
PLEASE NOTE: The tracks on the Wilson/Hoeve player above are not the ones on the 'Forget Me Not' CD except for our donated track 'These Blues'.
You can check out more songs from my early years on the player below if you wait about a minute for the player to load up!

Thank you for your kind words, and it is good to have some advice of new people too. your music is epic, keep doing what your doing. production value is fantastic, what set up do you use?
Hi Jules. Forgive me if this is the second comment! I wrote one and it sort of disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Ignore this one if the first made it through the ether.
Just wanted to congratulate you on your impressive collection of tracks here. My favourite, along with everyone else(!) is Atom of Love which has a beginning, both in terms of melody and lyric, which is immediately captivating and, once caught, one can't stop listening. It is so authentic - I love it. My second favourite is 'Summer of Love' which says it just how it is - you never really know what people are thinking and there is so much they don't say.
Thanks for your encouraging comment! I can go a long time on any meagre crumb of appreciation! BTW, as you are a seasoned campaigner, I would love to know how you feel about the song competitions. Do you still enter, and, if so, how do you sustain the hope?????
Hey Julian, Thanks for the kind words! It wasn't a songwriting course but a top weekend with 3 other collaborators. We knocked out 4 songs of which a couple have good potential. Cheers Steve

Someone with recording skills in the Emerald Isle please help Eamon Ireland with his songs - He deserves it and you will have a great project at the end of it. If I had the ability I wouldn't hesitate. Jules
