This stunning "live" Soul n Motown show takes you on a trip through the golden years of the music that's made our feet tap and our hearts move for generations. This band is not just a Soul & Motown tribute show it is a full production and showcase of music and vocal talents with a truly spectacular stage and lighting show to enhance the whole experience. The fully live backing band replicate the songs in a way that makes it feel like you're really back in the height of that magical era. Micky "Boy" Lewis's drums are hoisted on a huge aluminium stage riser the same as what is used on the major tours and on TV shows. The whole lighting rig is computer controlled to make sure the correct mood is created for all songs. The state of the art Martin Blackline sound system is the same as what's used in stadiums and arena's all over the world. Quentin Hewland has a degree in music and has toured as a Bass Player and a lead vocalist with various shows over the years. Kevin Brown on lead guitar has played since being a child and provides a solid sound that's unique to this style of show and has also toured with top soul band "Touch & Go" up and down the country along side Chubby Brown (no relation.. ha). John Walton or "JW" as he is now known, adds a new level of depth to the songs that were made famous by the great legends of soul adding his unique vocal qualities and power. With Kevin Brown's sweet baritone voice and Quentin Hewland's deep bass vocal the quality of the harmonies are always second to none. Not just perfoming a collection of soul songs, the four guys fully understand the feeling behind the Soul & Motown era. The meaning of the lyrics and groove of the tunes is of paramount importance. The guys play their personal favourite songs such as Twistin The Night Away by the great Sam Cooke, where the band perform a superb rendition with all the dance routines of the time thrown in for fun as soul music is about having a good time. Through to the moving and truly classic performance of Me & Mrs Jones, a personal favourite ballad of JW which has a vocal style and elegance which is a not often found in todays music. Treat Her Like A Lady is also a song the guys love as it sings about the respect that men should have for all women. The band also take you back to some of the golden songs from the 70's soul era with The Real Thing having two massive hits with Can't Get By Without You and You To Me Are Everything which can only be described as all time classics which the guys perform flawlessly. With most of the all time favourite soul tracks from all the legends, The Drifters, The Temptations, Edwin Starr, The Four Tops plus many more this show is definately one for the true lovers of the music that has and will stand the test of time forever. Combine this level of personal touch, proffesionalism and true love for the music and the artists, it's no wonder this show is a massive success all over the UK playing in front of literally tens of thousands of people in venues such as Theatre's, Restaurants, Golf Clubs, Hotels, Casino's, Clubs and Holiday Centres.
