Welcome to my website page dedicated to West Wales indie band Jylt. Were you one of the lucky people who caught one of their live sets? If you are an ex-Uni student then you may well have seen the band in 2002 when they played the UK university circuit thanks to support from STUDENT 123. Voted best unsigned band, things were going so well for them when tragedy struck. Nia, the bass guitarist and one of the vocalists was suddenly struck down with with a life threatening illness whilst recording their first single and after a brave battle, she passed away in February 2004 aged 21. Nia was my wonderful daughter, a founder member of the band, artist, song writer and performer. She is sadly missed by all and her death saw the sad demise of Jylt.
