Jym has a passion for film and video coupled with music and enjoys collaborating with musicians whatever their genre of choice. He particularly enjoys using experimental and eccentric filmmaking tools and techniques to energize his work. Whether its animating hand drawn elements frame by frame, using toy cameras and goofy lenses, or layering projected microscopic footage enlarged 30 times, his work always seeks to compliment the mood of the sound. A lot of the experimental nature of Jym’s work comes from his background in traditional studio media. His studio work runs the gambit from screenprinting to watercolor to simple pen and ink sketches.

This is my video for the southern alt. country duo Mullinix and Vickery. I really liked their song "Little Guy" so I approached them about doing a video. They are on the Three Cat Studio label. My friend William Haun did the post-production work that gave it the feeling that the footage had been found in an old garage.

One of My favorite projects is creating the title sequence for feature film "Beyond the Wall of Sleep" (Lion’s Gate Film), in which Kenny Jensen and I shot a complex multi-projection 35mm set up in a tiny hotel room in Atlanta (and then drove through the night so I could be at work in the morning). This is the final version of the titles that appears on the DVD release. Property of Lion's Gate.

I am very thankful for the premiere knowledge you gave me because I get to use it in my job now!! I graduated from UNCG in 2006 and I moved to Orlando to work for Disney, right now I am doing communications/design for this department who brings International Students to work for Disney. i made it through! you are weak! actually the movie changes course about 50 minutes in and has some semblance of a plot. they form a gang, climb the holy mountain after some serious "training" , discover 7 dummies and then the guru/director tells the camera to zoom out and the film crew is revealed. best i could tell it was about not believing in superstitions or religion. or whatever. 2.5 stars. did you ever see the celebration?
