    Record Label Machete Ish Records

    Type of Label Indie

  • Bio

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. Mechete Ish Started as Machete Shit Records, to put out music by a a Horrorcore rap group that Krypto Man and CBK (Clam Bake Kid) started in 2003. The group was called Juggalo Inc. (J-Inc.) (copywrite issues lead to the change of the name, not to mention we were seen as ICP posers [I guess we sort of were at the time]). The record label also signed a local Punk rock group called Willies Warm Cocoa (not signed to Machete Ish nor do they call themselves Willies Warm Cocoa they change there names more than Eyedos). J-Inc. was working on their 1st CD when they added another member, Skitzo Tha Sydeshow (now Eyedos), to the roster. Krypto Man and Eyedos met each other at summer camp around 2000 and later went to highschool, they swapped mix tapes (one was Eyedos' the other was J-inc.'s) and a couple weeks later Eyedos was in the group (I believe Eyedos' name was East Coast Ghost and then soon changed it to Skitzo Tha Sydeshow and Krypto's name was called MD). The so called "Music that we made actually sold a few albums, thanks to friends and being in school at the time (school definitely helps your sales). J-Inc. made 3 group CDs there were also 2 solo albums 1 from Skitso Tha Sydeshow and 1 from CBK. after 2 or 3 years CBK left the group and move to Florida. J-Inc. took a little time off 1/2 to a whole year, where Eyedos made another album or 2 under the name Syndromik before putting out Devil May Care the 1st CD that J-Inc. used the name Jynx Inc. which made around $300 profit and was 10 time better (flow/Production/lyricly better) than any of the albums before. Jynx Inc. put out 1 more CD before they really changed up there style (from Horrorcore to Alternative Hip-hop) Alternative Hip-hop: Jynx Inc. put out a album that consisted of about half horrorcore tracks and half Alternative tracks, the album was called Imperfectionism or somethin like that. Jynx Inc made alot of tracks most were from bootlegged beats speaking of BOOTLEGGED Jynx inc. made a bootlegged CD that we handed out for free. 2 of the tracks that we made used beats from Swollen Members' albums Heavy and were fuck!ng dope. The CD was called All Wrongz Reaserved and came out in 2006. In '07-'09 didn't have alot of CDs but Jynx Inc. worked hard on recording tracks and networking. in late '08 Eyedos and Krypto Man went to a Rhythm Ruckus concert and gave their DJ (DJ FORCEFED I'll call him DJ FF) a demo of our music. DJ FF liked the music and asked if we had any radio edits (we didn't), we made up some tracks and sent them to DJ FF so he could play them on WVEW. One day DJ FF was playing a song by Jynx Inc. when Tableek walked in and asked who that was (Tableek was there to ask if there were any local acts that were worth noting and Jynx Inc. got lucky, mainly on the timing I mean if we didn't go to the Rhythm Ruckus show than I wouldn't have met Tableek, BURNTmd, or Copywrite). A couple weeks later I get a e-mail or phone call or something from DJ FF saying that Tableek (from Maspyke) was making a Mix Tape and wanted a track from Jynx Inc. I contacted Tableek as soon as I got the word and told him that we were down to be on the Mix Tape. a month or 2 after sending Tableek a track Tableek called me and said that they were having a photo shoot down in Springfield Massachusetts in a few weeks. The Photo Shoot was a great experience, meeting other MCs/Rappers , 1 of the artists that we met was BURNTmd (the most helpful person that I've met. He's helped me get a track with Copywrite and Phil The Agony as well as a couple other artists that I'm not abliged to speak on) some others we met were Network, Banff, Stanley Illa, Truck Julius, Frank White. The Split: Jynx Inc. were going well I thought but Eyedos disided to be a dick and have some sort of nervious brake down. IDK thats just my perspective. ask him yourself. Now I (Krypto Man) am working on my dabut solo album intitled Dreamworks. feat./ Copywrite, Phil The Agony (Strong Arm Steady), BURNTmd, and Possibly Blacastin, Moka Only, Pigeon John, and Akrobatik (as well as some other artists that I can't name at this moment in time). up with an array of hip hop artists including Burnt MD, to name a few. About a month later Jynx Inc. went to an M.O.P. concert with Apathy, Slain, and Burnt MD at Higher Ground in Burington, VT. While talking to Burnt MD about doing a show in Southern Vermont, Jynx Inc. started talking about their upcoming CD and got a underground/punch line legend, Copywrite on a track. The track, titled Ghost in the Machine features Burlington, VT local Burnt MD, Copywrite, and legendary DJ MF Shalem and is slated to release 8-8-09. Other artists that are set to be on Jynx Inc.'s CD are Moka Only (multi-platinum artist, formally of Swollen Members), Pigeon John, Blacastan and Strong Arm Steady, member Phil Da Agony. Jynx Inc. has performed at three concerts, and has also performed at many house parties. They know how to get the crowd moving. Their first show was at the Twin Valley Project Graduation in '08. It provided Jynx Inc. with good practice for the coming events. Their second show was held at the Whitingham Elementary and Twin Valley Middle School gymnasium on 4-10-09 with local legends, Rhythm Ruckus and Burnt MD. The third show date a WNEHH concert at the Stone Church Brattleboro, VT on 6-18-09 with WNEHH's Eardrugs, L.A.W. of Sound Right Reason, and Tableek. All of the concerts were DJed by DJ FORCEFED. in mid. '09 Eyedos on of the MC and the Producer for the group left leaving Krypto Man to fend for himself in this dog eat dog industry. Some main influences of Jynx Inc. are Wu-Tang Clan, Swollen Members, Jurassic 5, Freestyle Fellowship, The Visionaries, and BoogieDown Productions. To give a broader view, they are influenced by Rhymesayers, Def Jux, Battle Axe Records, Strange Famous, Soul Assassins, ABB Records and Sub Noise.
