Photography, Jeeps, Computers, and getting angry when I read the newspaper.
Music
Stuff like Alice Cooper, Eurythmics, Agent Orange, Johnny Cash, J. Geils, ZZ Top, Janis Joplin, Queen, The Clash, Rancid, The Romantics, Heart, and many, many others.
Anything that is family-oriented and NOT animated. I also have an "eccentric" sense of humor, so I enjoy most politically incorrect comedies that my wife doesn't like.
Television
I don't watch too much TV. Nothin' on worth watching, except the commercials. But...I do enjoy some Disney and Nickelodeon shows.
Books
Political and religious non-fiction and a whole slew of news magazines. Only while on the toilet, though.
you are not old...because that would make me old too and I refuse!!! lol I'll be 41 in a few days...ick. I will accept this birthday gracefully...at least thats what I keep telling myself. lol
Well thats good. I am glad you are feeling better. Aaron (our oldest) had a Cross Country meet at Slippery Rock and then his Fraternity had a picnic for the parents so we were in New Wilmington all day pretty much. We also got to see where my son lives (Fraternity House) which was cleaned up this time but still a Mother's nightmare...lol. JK. His fraternity does alot for the community of New Wilmington and they all seem to be very sweet and polite young men. Was a good time.
Knowing Jim came from a really tough place not far from where I grew up in Ontario, I totally understand what he is saying. Some of the people who interest me the most have really struggled. Well, I thought I'd pass his quote out as I'm sure many people also have a difficult time embracing the struggles in life and wondering what will come of it.
"I don't think human beings learn anything without desperation. Desperation is a necessary ingredient to learning anything or creating anything. Period. If you ain't desperate at some point, you ain't interesting." ~Jim Carrey
So, maybe the argument is we don't want to be interesting. LOL I've often said, "Ok, I have plenty of character now...let's move on!" I think the secret is to turn the lemons into lemonade somehow...how you play the cards so-to-speak. But, I especially love when we can grow closer to one another through the struggles. That's just cool.
