About me: Im Jzy.
From Glasgow, been living in dundee for a couple of years now. Was at dundee uni for a while doing Illustration but dropped out to pursue other interests, such as promotion & management.
Currently the Promoter for Pangea Clubnight, which is a collective of Artists, DJ's, & MC's who run a drumnbass night at the Reading Rooms in dundee. Im also one of the Pangea Resident Artists, and create live art each clubnight with my main man JEKT. I display my work in the club and at various other events, (check pics for some slightly old photos of artwork & live work). As well as that, I do some work for the Reading rooms doing PR for most of their gigs/acts.
In the midst of starting up my own independent promotions company called 'jayzedwhy promotions' so hopefully watch this space for some good breaks, electro & house hitting the dundee scene after the summer.
Im mostly a legal artist these days, i dont really hit the streets as much as id like to. Preferred mediums are Phat Paint pens, and wheatpasting, but starting to get back into cans recently. Influences include comic books, the melbourne wheatpasting scene, and...other shit.
I can usually be found at the rooms on a friday night, in a mess somewhere in the corner.
Who I'd like to meet: Scottish artists. Urban/graff/design - anything thats different, fresh and cool. Pangea are always on the lookout for local artistic talent and would love to exhibit your work at our night! Get in touch, all work that gets displayed is for sale so hopefully we can help out some struggling young artists make a few bucks.
Also would like to meet Electro, Breaks, House & DNB dj's who are interested in playing in dundee, pangea is the perfect platform for dundee when it comes to dnb, and jayzedwhy promotions is interested in putting on the rest. LIVE ACTS im very interested in checking out, live electro, live dnb, anything thats totally original i will lap up.
With a reputation for heavy beats, dubwise basslines and echoing effects that take you to the milky way and back, Morphy delivers his debut EP for Nerve Recordings in the shape of "The Dubtopia EP".
As usual, quality is delivered without compromise - from the hard-edged dancefloor cut "Hermies" to the more dubwise selections "Version" and "Samfie Man" to the straight up roots rocker "Warren Dub" - this EP will keeping you skanking in dubbed out delight!

Phil Kieran is switching gears again. After three years of almost total dedication to his critically acclaimed Alloy Mental project ( www.myspace.com/alloymental), the Belfast DJ and producer is back to doing what he does best, making his own distinctive brand of dance music. Kieran has dug out the old techno gems , reflected on early influences like Joy Division and Aphex Twin, tipped his hat to newcomers like Marc Houle and Audion, and set to work on producing a catalogue of sure-fire dancefloor killers, for offer over the coming months. Last year Phil brought us ’Skyhook’ on Novamute and hooked up with Cocoon to release ‘I think I’m a monster’. Following both tracks widespread success the German label is also set to unleash ’Missp’ in March 08. Recent remix work includes ‘Hold my hand’ for UNKLE and the upcoming ‘Dancing Bears’ for Roel H, which is set to be massive.
