Orphaned at the age of 9 when his mother was murdered by gang members during an ongoing turf feud, K3 found himself thrust into manhood when most boys were playing kick ball and riding skateboards. He realized then that nothing is guaranteed and the value of life held little weight in a community ravaged by gang violence and drug addiction. K3 decided that he would never be alone and unprotected. He did not seek the security from others but from a loaded handgun and reliance on his own instincts. This forced decision also brought him into a life of crime plagued with legal problems and death. Death of his peers. Death of his family members. Death of dreams. Until, he heard the boom of a kick drum and crisp crack of a snare. After listening to Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt, K3 knew where he wanted to direct his energy. The recording awakened something him that would propel him to the forefront of Little Rock’s underground rap community. He reasoned that if he had managed to stay alive on the streets, then surely he could make it in the music business. His journey had begun and he is determined win.
