  • General

    I'm a geek and I'm okay with that. I love a good action packed movie. Anything with ear blistering explosions is good. (Michael Bay rocks!) The sappy ones can get me though. I teared up in one of the scenes from Armageddon where the Dad sees his son when he returns. I love politics. (By love I mean hate.) It's always interesting to me how people will vote for any of those power hungry monsters. Both sides think the other is evil. I am building an N scale model railroad. It's freakin' expensive but a lot of fun. It's a never ending project. I love my home theater. I have a beautiful 42 inch Samsung LCD tv backed up with a Yamaha surround system. (Preparing to upgrade the sound.) I have a Nintendo Wii and a Playstation 3. I am on the computer almost all day. Work or home it does not matter. Thanks to my friends at Verizon Wireless I now carry a Blackberry Curve that allows me to check my email anywhere, anytime.

    Yes. Music. My music tastes have always been a little strange. First off, I am a huge fan of Van Halen. I've seen Van Halen three times in concert, David Lee Roth twice and Sammy Hagar four times. I prefer to own a copy of the CD rather than download it. I always have a long list of CD's I'm looking for. I've seen Elton John, Brad Paisley, Cheap Trick, Eagles, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Collective Soul, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Billy Joel, Kenny Chesney, The Monkees, Paul McCartney, Skid Row, Foghat, Chuck Berry, Huey Lewis & The News and believe it or not, I got to meet Elvis Presley! I have no memory of it but it happened!

  • Movies

    I love sci-fi. I own all the Star Trek & Star Wars movies. Dumb & Dumber is the best comedy. Office Space is a classic and Batman Begins flat out rocks! I still believe that Tombstone is the greatest western ever. I love to watch movies over and over again. The Dark Knight lived up to expectations! Star Wars, Ghostbusters & Back To The Future are 3 movies I have memorized.

  • Television

    Every week I record these shows: Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad and South Park! I also enjoy NCIS. I can't stand Dancing With The Stars, American Idol or Survivor. I understand their appeal but they are not for me.

  • Books

    Comic books are still on my buy list. I still buy a few Batman comics every month. If you ever want to buy comics from a good guy, go to Comic Empire at 31st & Mingo.

  • Heroes

    Anybody serving in the United States military. I'm a sucker for a good rescue story. People who rescue dogs from a frozen pond and that kind of thing.

About me:

Greetings friends, neighbors and race fans! I am the afternoon drive disc jockey on K95.5FM. You can find me on the air weekdays from 2p-7p. I am also the Assistant Program Director. (Ass-Prod if you will) I started out in radio at AM 1430 producing a local sports show as Spaztic Matt. That show, hosted by Bill Simonson, was titled "The B.S. on Sports" I then worked my way up to mornings on KOOL 106.1 playing Good Times and Great Oldies. After leaving KOOL I came to Cox and have been here since. At Cox I've worked in the marketing department and was recently the full-time fill-in guy on several of our radio stations. Since June 2007 I am the guy who drives you home every weekday with Continuous Country Favorites with Less Talk and Fewer Commercials on K95.5FM. Tulsa is my home. I was born here and with the exception of living in Inola for a short time, I've been here all my life and I don't plan on leaving. I've traveled much of the western United States. I've only left the country once and never plan on doing it again. The only exception would be on a cruise. I love my job. I am doing what I have always wanted to do. I have a beautiful wife and 2 great kids.

    Matt!!! i can't believe you met Keith. Lucky you. mom showed me the pics she toook they came out awesome! I got to lay in bed all day lucky me right? lol
    anyways i csnt wait for TAYLOR SWIFT that concert is going to kick butt!! did you see the abc special bout her tour like every song has a different scene and there is even rain! i am sooooo pumped!!!

    Man it sucked so bad i had to stay in the hospital from friday til monday and i was only supposed to be there one night. but when they cut me open they found that my disc was fusing together with my spinal fluid so i was on stricted bedrest for three days and i couldn't lift my head at all.. ugh i was miserable!!
